John has had a long, successful career as a CEO, CFO, consultant, and deal-maker. In addition to starting and running companies, he has participated as a buyer, seller, or intermediary in over 30 business acquisitions in the past 20 years. John works with clients as an M&A and valuation advisor, and often serves as an acting CFO to help clients build value within their business. John is Vice President for the Austin Chapter of Texas Association of Business Brokers, and is an active speaker on mergers and acquisitions.
Before he started ADG, John co-founded and led Austin Data Systems (ADS) for 15 years, one of the most successful systems integrators in Texas. One ADS division was acquired by a national technical service firm funded by venture capital. The other ADS division was acquired by a leading vertical market software company. Prior to ADS, John was CFO/Controller for a regional rent-to-own company. Previously, John worked in public accounting for a large regional CPA firm.
John is married and has two children. He enjoys the outdoors, especially golfing, fishing, hunting, and hiking.

As an entrepreneur who built and sold a successful systems integration company, Bob understands business acquisitions from both the buyer’s and seller’s perspective. His time as a business owner and operations manager, combined with his consulting and intermediary experience, gives him the background to understand the financial and operational drivers that create business value and lead to successful mergers and acquisitions. Bob works with clients as an M&A and succession planning advisor, and often serves as acting COO to help clients build value within their business. Bob is the former Vice President for Membership of the Austin Chapter of Texas Association of Business Brokers, and is an active speaker and writer on business transaction and valuation topics for the IT industry.

Bob is married and has two children. His other interests include tennis, traveling, sailing, reading, and cooking.
