After successfully building and selling a high tech service company over a 15-year period, John W. Austin and Robert (Bob) Dale founded Austin Dale Group, Inc. to help other business owners and investors like themselves. Previously, John and Bob co-founded Austin Data Systems (ADS) in 1985, which grew into a regional high tech service firm with offices in Dallas and Austin. ADS focused on networking services, accounting software, and business management software. They had first-hand experience buying and selling several lines of business during the life of ADS, culminating in the sale of the company in 2000. Based on their experiences, John and Bob decided to start a professional service firm to work with other business owners and investors.

John co-founded and led Austin Data Systems (ADS) for 15 years, which became one of the most successful systems integrators in Texas. Prior to ADS, John worked in financial management for a regional rent-to-own company. Prior to that, John was the manager of computer consulting services for a large regional CPA firm.

John is married and has two children. John enjoys the outdoors, especially golfing, fishing, hunting, and hiking.
